Meet Nico


Nico Carrillo is the Director of Youth Ministries at San Pedro, where he has led students in faith, leadership, and community since February of 2022. He is also pursuing a Master of Divinity at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary as he prepares for ordination in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.).

Nico is also a devoted husband to his wife, Jaclynn, and treasures his role as a father to Ruby and Ryan. He is passionate about creating spaces—both in ministry and beyond—where people feel seen, encounter love, find grace, and embrace belonging.

Fall Programming

Sundays @10

Youth starts in a "Large Group" setting in Family Discipleship Class for prayer and devotional. Afterwards we break out into more specific groups:
 - Confirmation Class 
 - Middle School Small Group
 - High School Small Group
In these groups we will study and discuss Biblical lessons throughout the week and how to implement simple faith action-steps. This is both a communal and individualized pathway for family discipleship.

Sundays @11

Youth Worship takes place in either of our worship services, where students (junior and senior high school) are encouraged to sit with their friends or get plugged in by helping in various areas of the church. Some of these youth volunteer opportunities include:
 - A/V Team: Screens Coordinator
 - A/V Team: LiveStream Coordinator
 - A/V Team: Sound Engineer
 - Greeter Team: Service Greeter
 - Lay Reader
 - Children's Ministry Volunteer

Fellowship Events

In addition to our Sunday programming, we host monthly All Youth Events for 6th -12th grade. These are designed as unstructured meet-ups to focus on connecting and inviting friends into our circle. You can look forward to events such as: 
 - Roller Skating
 - Tennis / Pickleball
 - Movie Nights
 - Lock-Ins
 - Synod Workshops
 - and more!
