The Kindness Challenge

For the month of November San Pedro Jesus followers embark on our annual tradition - spreading kindness to coworkers, friends, family, classmates, neighbors, strangers, and each other. We are collecting testimonies about acts of kindness extended to us as inspiration. Here is a story about kindness at the grocery store.
"I’ve had kindness extended to me several times recently while putting my groceries into the trunk of my car in the HEB parking lot. Different folks walking into the store have noticed my cane, and have offered to take my cart so that I didn’t have to make the trek to corral it into the proper spot. This may sound like a small thing, but believe me, it truly perks me up, realizing someone has noticed and offered help (in the same way it brings a smile when another driver lets one into a stream of traffic). Those little things help make for a beautiful world!"

From young to senior saint, every person at every age enjoys receiving and sharing kindness. It's free, it's fun, and it's a faith-builder.
There will be weeks of The Kindness Challenge to share your story, to practice intentional acts of kindness, and to spread the love of God to others. Our goal will be twofold - to 1) reduce negative self-talk, and to 2) increase positive and faithful behavior.
The Apostle Paul wrote about this multiple times to the early church. "Let your gentleness be known to everyone. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:5-7
Take the challenge - be kind.
